Happy New Year!
At Plumbline, we're starting the new year at a new location! Our new

Many of us are starting off 2010 with new goals, and Plumbline is no
exception. We are looking forward to some exciting new
initiatives this year, such as getting our DynamicsDownloads site up
and running (where SL add-on solutions can be purchased online),
having a great turnout at the SL Solutions Station (ISV shared booth
area) at the Convergence 2010 Expo, putting the finishing touches of
our SaaS offering and migrating our website to a new SharePoint
site!
The most rewarding aspects of doing business throughout the year is
developing exceptional solutions, delivering excellent consulting
services, forging great new partnerships and fostering existing
ones. Please keep us in mind should you need assistance with a

If you are unable to login to SL 7.0 on a machine running
Windows 7 or Windows 2008 R2, the problem may be that the machine is
not joined to a domain.

When installing a SY hotfix for Microsoft Dynamics SL, you may
receive the message "An unknown error (-2147010895 occurred."
This situation can occur if the
32bit version of the Updated C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable package is
required for the system hotfix. Read more about this error on

Background:
Jason is a consultant at Plumbline Consulting and provides the following
services to partners: developing Tools for Visual Basic applications,
customizing Microsoft Dynamics SL screens and reports, writing new Crystal
reports and testing. Prior to joining Plumbline, Jason worked as a support
engineer, team leader and support manager in the SL Support areas for Microsoft,
Great Plains and Solomon Software. Prior to working with the SL product,
Jason was a systems administrator, managing PC networks and a mainframe system.
Jason has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems.
Likes best about consulting: Likes the variety this role offers. The
projects are all different and present unique challenges and opportunities
for enhanced learning. This keeps the job interesting.
Hobbies: Jason enjoys music (he plays the guitar in a band), paintball
(he is a member of a scenario paintball team), camping and motorcycle riding.

Microsoft Dynamics SL version 7.0 (no service
pack) will be retired from mainstream support on January 12th 2010
It is recommended that users upgrade to a more recent version such as
version 7.0 Service Pack 1, 7.0 Service Pack 2, or 7.0 Feature Pack 1 to
maintain support.
