Microsoft Dynamics Support Series: Microsoft Dynamics SL Year End

This webinar will provide tips on Dynamics SL for having a successful year end. This includes the reports and processes that should be run before closing for the year. We will also discuss any changes to 1099, W2, and 941 processing made by the year end updates. Finally we will look at some of the more common errors and issues that may arise during year end.

Thank you for submitting your questions! Here are the top three questions submitted, along with the responses provided by Plumbline's technical staff:

Q: Will the year-end updates suppress all but the last four digits of the employee's social security number from printing on the payroll check?

A: No, the year-end updates won't affect the printing on social security numbers on checks, since it is not a government requirement for 2007. However, you can customize the checks to mask the first five numbers of the SS# if you have customers with identity-theft concerns.

Q: Is Dynamics SL L 7.0 compatible with SQL 2008?

A: Microsoft does not currently support Dynamics SL on SQL 2008. We are targeting support of this environment with the SL 7.0 Feature Pack 1 release, which is due out next year.

Q: What is the status of the new interface between SL 7.0 and MS Project Server 2007?

A: The new interface for Microsoft Project 2007 is expected to be available with the SL 7.0 FP1 release next year as well.
