Printing to multiple printers                   On the Steps tab of the Order Types (40.200.00) screen, if the Invoke Automatically check box is selected for the Print Invoice step, the invoice will print at the printer where Process Manager is running.

Did you know that you can print directly to the workstation creating the invoice by modifying the order steps?

If the order step Confirm Shipment is used:

The Print Invoice step should be positioned before the Update Shipper step

The Print Invoice step should be positioned after Release for Update, and before Update Shipper.

Plumbline Solutions provides software engineering services for Microsoft® Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) Channel Partners. We offer software development, application support, and technology consulting, with a dedicated focus on delivering excellence and building lasting relationships.

Microsoft Business Portal is a great way to get information out to people who do not have access to the back office accounting system. You can create personalized views for your employees who need to make decisions or use the information in their jobs. However, you may have noticed that not all of the back office data is available when you need specific information and want certain employees to view it. Or you may find that you need to restrict unique data returned by a query, but there is no data restriction available that meets your needs. Microsoft Solomon and Microsoft Great Plains do not expose all of the back office information, and many third-party applications do not deliver the ability to access the data.

So are you stuck?  Not necessarily. First, discuss the situation with the third-party application provider to deliver a Microsoft Business Portal integration that includes the data or restrictions you need. Alternatively, you can create the integration yourself using the Microsoft Business Portal Software Development Kit (BPSDK). To use this tool kit, you will need to know Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, C#, and the BPSDK development process, but don’t worry. If you don’t have someone on staff with this knowledge, Plumbline can assist you by creating the integration using one of our skilled consultants or by facilitating a BPSDK development training workshop to build your Microsoft Business Portal Development skills.

So remember, if you need Microsoft Business Portal to access information or a data restriction that is not currently available, BPSDK might provide the solution you need.
