Accountable Software decided to
integrate their ISV solution, AnyView IDS, with Microsoft Dynamics SL without
the investment of hiring and training developers to reverse-engineer the
Microsoft Dynamics SL database schema.
Plumbline Solutions provided a map
of the Microsoft Dynamics SL database, and Accountable Software created a
metadata layer to integrate their AnyView IDS product with Microsoft Dynamics
SL. The successful result allowed end users to access the data through AnyView
IDS using the field names they see every day in Microsoft Dynamics SL.

Solution Needs
Accountable Software developed AnyView IDS, a reporting platform that creates an
Inquiry Framework™ that connects disparate application databases, standardizes
query generation, and delivers the information needed by the user. Accountable
sought to integrate their solution with Microsoft Dynamics SL to reach a new
customer base. However, they did not have expertise in the Microsoft Dynamics SL
data model. Plumbline Solutions was able to offer the knowledge and experience
that were required. Accountable Software’s decision to contract with Plumbline
Solutions allowed Accountable to offer to partners and customers a solution that
makes reporting easier and less time-consuming. It also allowed them to deliver
the solution without having to spend time and resources learning the database
schema on their own.
Customizing for Success
Plumbline Solutions’ know-how in building a map of the Microsoft Dynamics SL
database helped Accountable Software create a metadata layer for their AnyView
IDS product. The metadata layer allows end users to access data with the field
names they use in the standard application. Plumbline Solutions enabled
Accountable Software to achieve success in this project by providing knowledge
and expertise to deliver the solution without investing in additional staff or
training.
